SPREAD THE WORD --
TELL YOUR NEIGHBORS!
Concord has two recycling drop-off
sites:
The
drop-off sites
have 20-yard, enclosed
containers with sliding
doors
(known as doghouse-style
containers).
These
containers are better suited
to accommodate the volume of
recyclables. The
recyclables will not
need to be separated by
product type. However,
as before, please break down
large boxes before disposing
of them to conserve space
and as a consideration to
other Township residents.
The contractor,
Waste
Management, has quite
a sophisticated technology
for separating the material.
The receptacles are
currently in place
Should you
have any questions about what
you can and cannot recycle,
Waste Management has forwarded
us their list. Just click

Trash
|
|
Residents
must contract with a trash hauler
to have their trash removed. When making the
inquiries, be sure to mention what subdivision
you live in as some Homeowners' Associations have
agreements for specific services from haulers.
Other questions you may want to ask before
making a decision are: will the hauler take yard
waste? What day is trash collected in your
neighborhood? How should the trash be contained?
A complete listing of trash haulers can be found
in the Yellow Pages or you can access any one of
the haulers on this link:

pick-up in which the following guidelines should
be followed:
Leaves ONLY, NO brush, NO tree limbs
Bags must be multi-ply, biodegradable,
ABSOLUTELY NO PLASTIC
Truck will make one pass ONLY, it will not make

Brush Disposal
|
|
The Township gives residents the opportunity to
dispose of brush by opening the Service
Department for drop-off on four Saturdays each
year (2
in the spring and 2 in the fall. Please
see either the Homepage or Service Dept. link
for exact dates and times). The Service Department is located at the
rear of the south entrance onto Township
property at 7229 Ravenna Road. The following
guidelines for brush disposal must be followed:
Brush ONLY, NO leaves
Brush MUST be bundled and tied
Tree limbs are accepted up to
4 inches in diameter
Brush is mulched and available
for residents to pick up for home or garden use.
(NOTE: Fresh mulch must be "seasoned"
for about a year before it can be spread onto
flower beds. The acidity level in fresh
mulch may damage your plants.) You
must have your own vehicle and method for
loading it. For

times of the year, please click on this link: Yard
