The Old
Stone School
The Old Stone School
House was built in 1840 and used as a one-room
school-house until 1923 when the School system
centralized. The school then became a
private residence and eventually a business
office for a local builder. In late 2001,
the Township purchased the building and
surrounding properties. After a major
renovation project by a group of dedicated
volunteers, the Old Stone School was opened on
May 31, 2004.
The School house is now open
the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and also
serves as a history center for
Concord Township.
