Service/Road Department

The Concord Township Service Department is responsible for snow removal, road construction and repair, local drainage systems, cemetery services and Township building and property maintenance. The Service Department is comprised of 11 maintenance workers, 1 mechanic, an administrative assistant and the service director. The Service Department currently maintains 139 ­lane miles of Township roadways. Summer maintenance includes full depth concrete slab replacement, full depth asphalt replacement, Dura patching, crack sealing, roadside drainage improvement, roadside mowing and assisting other Township departments as needed. The Service Department also coordinates road replacement and drainage improvement projects with the assistance of Lake County Engineering Department and Lake County Storm Water Department.

On Wednesday, August 9, 2017, Kavro Paving and Specialized Construction Companies will begin the repaving project on the following roads:

Little Mountain Country Club Subdivision
Hobby Horse Subdivision
Lambton Court
Tanglewood Trail

Brush Days
Concord Township Service Department will provide an opportunity for Concord residents to drop off brush and yard waste on­ two Saturdays this fall, September 23rd and October 14th, from 8:00am - 2:00pm. Service department employees will be on hand to assist residents in the off loading of materials at our service garage located at 7229 Ravenna Road right behind the Town Hall. Limbs, twigs and branches four (4) inches in diameter or less will be accepted. Yard waste will be accepted in biodegradable bags or easily handled containers which can be dumped by hand, no plastic bags please. The brush is chipped and made available to the residents for pickup during regular business hours Monday through Friday.

MRLM Inc., 440-357-6756, will accept yard waste, at no charge, on the second Saturday of every month April - October (April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14). Depending on weather conditions, MRLM may accept yard waste in November (please contact­ MRLM to verify). MRLM may accept yard waste at other times FOR A FEE (please contact them for details). Their facility is part of the JTO complex located at 6011 Heisley Road in Mentor.

Leaf Pick Up
The annual leaf pick up service for residents will be conducted the week of November 27, 2017. Residents will be required to supply their own biodegradable leaf bags. After the bags have been filled with leaves only, they should be placed at the curbside where our vendor will pick them up. Only bagged leaves in biodegradable bags will be picked up. No bulk leaves, piled leaves or leaves in plastic bags will be accepted.

The collection will begin at 6:00 am the morning of Monday, November 27th and there will be no returns to pick up bags that were not at the curb when collections begin. This service normally takes three to four days to complete, so thank you for your patience during this pick-up.

Snow Barricade Installation­
The Concord Township Service Department will suspend installing snow barricades until the fall. ­If you have any questions please contact the Service Department at 440-350-3225. ­ ­
