For an "Apples to Apples" comparisonchart of electric and natural gas prices, navigate to www.energychoice.ohio.gov. See below for more information.
Find your price per kilowatt hour (kWh) on your most recent electric bill and compare it to the price offered by other suppliers in our local marketplace.Price per kWh can change weekly, even daily with some suppliers. Most of the time, the daily/weekly changes are a few pennies, but the price may increase more dramatically with seasonal changes.
Compare electric offers on www.energychoice.ohio.gov. Once on this website, click on Compare Offers,Compare Electric Offers,Residential, and then select your current electricity supplier from the drop down list. You will see a listing of all current electricity suppliers in your marketplace with prices per kWh (in dollars), fixed or variable rate, term length and early termination fee. It’s important to note the term length associated with the price per kWh, as some of those really good prices are only in effect for a few months and then can increase at a variable rate.
Find your price per MCF on your most recent gas bill and compare it to the price offered by other suppliers in our local marketplace.Although the price per MCF is more stable, it still fluctuates by season.
