Auburn-Crile Connector Road Improvement Project

The Auburn-Crile Connector Road Improvement Project began August 2015, which included the extension of Capital Parkway from Auburn Road, crossing St. Rt. 44 and over to Crile Road. As a result, St. Rt. 44 has been improved with a new intersection and traffic signalization, and Crile Road has been relocated to accommodate the road extension. A roundabout has also been constructed at Auburn Road and Capital Parkway.

Karvo Paving Company was the designated lead contractor for the project, and the Ohio Dept. of Transportation, District 12, managed the project construction.

Construction Updates

We are working with ODOT and the contractor to post addiitional signage and pavement markings to improve traffic circulation. Such things as directional arrows for the Hospital, more No Left Turn signage and No Turnaround at Red Hawk will be installed. These improvements will become evident in the Spring. In the meantime, we ask for your continued patience and adherence to the new traffic flow.

Other roadway improvement changes in this area will be the road resurfacing of Auburn Road under the I-90 bridge. The Lake County Engineer's Office will be working on this over the Summer of 2017. View the Lake County Engineer's Office website to view current road closings and bridge limitations.
